These child phones do NOT need to download any application and will NOT be charged an additional service fee beyond the monthly fee, which allows up to 4 phones to be located.
Note: All newly released Sprint/Nextel phones (both CDMA and iDEN) are compatible child phones. They are locatable with Sprint Family Locator even if they are not yet listed here.
Parents can use any web-enabled phone to view their child's location on a map. Having a web-enabled parent phone is NOT required to use or sign up for Sprint Family Locator. Being able to use a parent phone to locate a child phone requires that you point the web (WAP) browser on your mobile phone to www.SFLmobile.com.
Using the Sprint Family Locator WAP application from your phone is free and already included in the $5 monthly fee per account. Normal data fees may apply.
